Performance Excerpts
Have the audience and the performer place their hands on a helium inflated classic balloon
The audience will have the chance to tell the performer about the best or worst celebration that comes to their mind.
Whichever the audience decides should be collectively done.
The performer will do the other prompt.
The performer will interview the audience.
When the performance is closing, pop the balloon between your hands with a match or a lighter.
Lights On/Off
Turn off the lights and sit in a fancy chair.
Have the audience put their hands on your face.
Interview the audience about –
A) Their dreams
B) Their love life
C) Their motivations
Door Piece
The audience should remain completely silent for this performance. It can be done inside or outside, and in public or in private.
Open a door.
Instruct the audience to feel what it would feel like if they would want to close the door.
Ask them to remain still, and see how intensely they can create that feeling in their body.
Ask them to concentrate.
Ask them to locate the feeling in their body.
Ask them to let go of thinking about the door, and concentrate on that feeling.
Ask them to let their mind drift to other places in their life that this feeling is present.
Ask them questions about who and where the audience was in these memories, and whether these memories matter to them.
When the performer feels that the performance has concluded, he/she will decide whether to exit or remain in the space.
Then he/she will close the door
Personal Significance
Give a stranger an object that holds personal significance to you. Explain to them what it has meant to you and why you choose this item for the performance.
Give them the choice to keep it or return it in one week's time.
Pick a location and time to meet. Do not exchange contact information.
Stand opposite the bonfire from the audience,
When the audience is ready,
Have them cup their hands and think of a moment they regret
Fill their hands with cinnamon.
Tell the audience of a time you overcame the urge for violence.
When the audience is ready, have them choose to taste the cinnamon
Then pour it over the fire.
Offer the audience the role of performer.
(A candle can be used in replacement of a bonfire
An urge for self destruction can be used in place of an urge for violence.
PILLOW PIECE
///The performer will destroy a pillow///
The performance lasts as long as the audience will tell jokes to one another.
Generations Piece (Ice Piece)
In front of the audience, two performers place ice between their wrists.
Performer A interviews Performer B about
Someone who transfers their complexes onto Performer B.
How has this affected Performer B’s ability to have a relationship with that person?
Once the ice has fully melts over the wrist,
Then the performers will turn to the closest audience member
and place the feeling of the cold onto their wrists,
transferring the temperature.
That audience member will then repeat this action to the person behind them,
This chain continues until someone says that they do not feel the cold.
